Our Holiday Inn Blacksburg is proud to be a Virginia Green certified hotel. Virginia Green is the statewide program that works to reduce the environmental impacts of Virginia's tourism industry. It is a partnership between the Virginia Tourism Corporation and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. The program awards Virginia Green Certification to tourism-related business taking voluntary actions to reduce harmful impacts on the environment. We provide green meetings, compost, donate extra food to Fairlawn Daily Bread, recycle, and so much more!

Based on request, we
- Provide Recycling: provide for recycling at their events
- Minimize the use of disposable food service products: use products that are made from bio-based or renewable resources and provide for recycling or composting of items
- Water Efficiency: conserve and use water efficiently
- Energy Conservation: reduce overall energy consumption
